What is reflexology?
Reflexology is an ancient art and science that deals with the principle that there are reflex areas in the feet and hands (and other parts of the body) which correspond to all of the glands, organs and parts of the body. It is a unique method of using pressure applied mainly by the thumb and fingers on these reflex areas in order to support nature in maintaining homeostasis, as far as may be achieved for each individual.
Have you struggled with any areas of illness, pain, anxiety, or otherwise disease or imbalance? Have you reached out in many ways in the medical field to find relief or have questions answered regarding your hormones, injuries or health? I highly suggest you look into reflexology. Very similar to acupuncture you will meet with a therapist to work through pressure points in your feet, hands and ear that mirror your body’s layout. The pressure points are manipulated through very relaxing massage that includes stretching and pressure by the therapists hands as opposed to the fine needles used by an acupuncturist. The pressure points are touched to release nerve tension, calcium buildup and muscle, tendon and ligament tightness.
